What is it? Citadela Listing Plugin
Citadela Listing plugin brings features for business directory website built on WordPress. It can be used to enhance a website for business, blogging, and non-profit organizations. It can also be used to create a directory website. There are no restrictions.
We have published the Citadela Block theme and Listing, Blocks, and Pro plugins to Gutenberg at September 2019’s end Since then, it has been in development.

Where can you find subpages to the directory functionality?
Citadela Listing plugin settings page
The first thing you’ll notice after installing the plugin is that there is a new settings page called Citadela Listing in the sidebar (on the left-hand side of wp-admin). You can configure Google Maps API key Integrations and insert the generated keys from Google reCaptcha (v3) to eliminate spam from your website.
There are several tabs that allow you to enable features such as Subscriptions and Items Claiming, Reviews, Extensions, and Claiming. You can also enable the Easy Admin feature to allow item owners to create a user-friendly environment.
The item details tab allows you to turn on Gutenberg editor while editing each individual item. Another input is to set the slug. Instead of the word “ïtem” You can use what you need.
Type of custom post: Items
Items Is the custom type that Citadela The Listing plugin adds functionality to the administration. These fields are available in the submenu.
- All Items – it is the place where you see all items
- Add New (Item) – fill the information for a new item
- Item Categories – add and edit individual categories for items
- Item Locations – add and edit item locations
Citadela Directory Blocks that can go anywhere
The current version Citadela There are seven universal directory blocks for Listing plugin. Their variability lies in the fact that you can insert them anywhere on the page – into Posts, Pages, as well as into particular pages created by the plugin itself.
These are the directory blocks that follow:
- Listing Map – Displays items on the map according to selected parameters
- Listing Search Form – A block through which users search for items
- Listing Categories List – Displays a list of categories by certain parameters
- Listing Locations List – Displays locations by certain parameters
- Listing Items List – Displays items according to filter selected by the user
- Listing Map (for posts) – Displays posts on the map according to selected parameters

Custom type: Pages for special occasions
WordPress and the Citadela Listing plugin allows you to generate pages automatically. You can edit only these pages by using the Special Pages section. It can be found in the left-hand sidebar. The list of all Pages is available in the left sidebar. Each page can be edited in Gutenberg editor. This allows you to set up blocks that will be displayed on every site for item detail presentation, or on pages as search results when a user is searching for information.

What are special pages used to?
You can use special pages to create a page’s structure and layout. That means you can set which blocks will be on a certain page as well as where they’ll be placed. You can also move the blocks around, reorder them, or change the default layout.
At the same time you can remove a block that you don’t currently need and add it back later. This is one of many benefits to block themes and plugins such as Citadela.
Data automatically extracted
Special pages are also characterized by the fact that they automatically pull a certain type of data onto the page – search results, items, categories, or locations. A web visitor can access the special page by searching for an item or category or clicking on the results. Keep in mind that any information you add to special pages can be found on all other related pages.
Because Special Pages are automatically generated by Citadela They can’t be deleted, including the listing plugin.
Citadela Directory Blocks for special pages
Each page has a different set of directory blocks. Their arrangement flexibility is their greatest benefit. You can select the blocks that you want to display on your page, or reorder them so that you have a completely different layout. You can arrange blocks in a variety of ways. columns Or insert other WordPress core block blocks between them; you can even add Citadela Directory Blocks that can easily be inserted anywhere (blocks referred to in section 3).
As we mentioned, there are different blocks available for each Special Pages. But don’t worry. You don’t need to search for them precisely, because only specific blocks are displayed on a particular Special Page.
